Karbaumer Farm - Community Supported Agriculture for Kansas City

Our “Farm Table” CSA program

Throughout this growing season we have examined our program and explored ways to make it more congruent with our mission and efforts to support sustainability. We want to nourish the earth under our feet and reduce the footprint we leave behind.

  • Naturally and sustainably grown vegetables, including some heirloom varieties
  • Eggs every other week
  • Herbs, fresh-cut flowers, grapes, apples and peaches
  • Farm honey available for purchase
  • Planned events: First Gathering; Bonfire and Horse-drawn Wagon Rides; Vineyard and Orchard Picks; “Applied Green Tomatoes” Challenge; Celebrate the Harvest, and other impromptu occasions
  • Classes by a naturalist for a small fee: edible weeds, building a survival shelter, discovering nature, macro- invertebrate pond life, and more
  • “Farm Table Report to Shareholders” newsletter and recipe

Spinach, peas, and onions.

We have had an overwhelming response to our "Farm Table" Program and appreciate all the interest in CSAs and in our farm.  At this time our 2008 CSA is full and we are taking names for our 2009 program.  Please contact us to be on the list.  (There is no obligation, of course.)
