We have organic, free-range eggs for sale. Our hens have free run of the farm and pastures, eating all the grass, bugs, worms and grit they can find. Their diet is supplemented with organic grains from Soaring Eagle Farms. Healthy, tasty eggs! Ungraded because the hens don't grade the farmer, either!
We have loads of green tomatoes. including heirlooms and those full-bodied Romas, especially good for sauces and drying in the sun. There are a few ripe tomatoes, too.
We have lots and lots of grean beans for sale the weekend of November 1. Then they're going in the canner.
Get your canning tomatoes now. Please call and we'll hold them for you instead of putting them in our own canning jars.
Huge patches of Oakleaf, Deer Tongue, Minuette Bronze and Forellenschluss heirloom lettuces are thriving in this cooler weather. Some can be cut as baby leaf letttuce; some has formed larger heads. This lettuce is as fresh as spring dew. Remarkably, it stays crisp in the refrigerator for several days!
Once again, Klaus' favorite finger food is abundant in Bountiful Garden. We have large Munich radishes to wash down with a cold beer and smaller, pretty ones for your dinner plate or salads.
